Meet Our Team

Dr. Emmeline Ye hails from San Diego, CA and has loved animals since she was a toddler. As a child, she was so obsessed with getting a dog that she borrowed books about dog ownership, made PowerPoints, and wrote essays to her parents attempting to convince them to adopt one. It took 16 years of persistent pleading before her parents gave in and let her adopt her first dog, a chihuahua mix named Coco. Thanks in part to her experiences with Coco, halfway through her Economics degree at the University of California, San Diego, she realized that economics was not for her and she wanted to become a veterinarian instead. She graduated from UCSD with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Economics and worked at two different veterinary clinics while applying for vet school. She was admitted to Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ as part of their third inaugural class, and graduated in May of 2020. Sadly, while training at Midwestern University, Coco was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Insulinoma. Being an intimate part of Coco’s care and working with various specialists for 2 years while in vet school cemented Dr. Ye’s passion for empathetic and compassionate animal care. Dr. Ye also discovered an interest in small animal dentistry, ultrasound, oncology, primary care/preventive medicine, clinical pathology and client communication.

She is eager to begin her career with Animal House and looks forward to helping your beloved fur babies live healthy lives! Dr. Ye currently has a chihuahua named Bean and a grey tabby cat named Mianhua (“Cotton” in Chinese). She looks forward to adding more pets to her family soon! In her spare time, Dr. Ye enjoys photography, working out, binging Netflix, playing games on her PC and Nintendo Switch, and trying new restaurants. She’s also fluent in Mandarin Chinese!
